Chemical Peels

The chemical peel is a staple treatment for improving the skin appearance on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is used to exfoliate the skin, causing it to peel or slough away. The new, regenerated skin is smooth in texture, even in tone, and glowing. Chemical peels can be used to treat multiple skin issues such as acne, fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. The medical grade chemical peels offered at Lift Medical, are higher concentrations of chemical solutions, allowing for deeper penetration into the skin and ultimately more dramatic results. All of peels can be preformed as an individual treatments or in a series for more dramatic results.

What to expect

As with all of our treatments at Lift Medical, clients begin their journey with a medical consultation. During you consult, it is important to discuss your medical and medication history to your provider. Treatments last approximately 30-45 min. The intensity of sensation during a chemical peel varies from each individual, but is well tolerated. Immediately after a chemical peel, your skin will look slightly pink and shiny. By 5 hours post peel you will have reach peak “redness”. This coloration varies from individuals, but most clients go about their normal activities. Peeling of the skin typically begins day 2 and can last up to 7 days. Most clients maintain their usual social activities during their treatment course.
